Section 7: System Requirements & Getting Started
To successfully deploy and operate the School Administration System (SAS), schools must ensure the following requirements and steps are met:
Device:
i. Minimum: Computer or laptop with at least 4GB RAM and a 1.70 GHz processor.
ii. Recommended: 4GB RAM or higher for smoother performance.
iii. Windows 10 or higher
Connection:
i. Stable internet connection (for cloud setup and updates).
ii. Local area network (LAN) (for local installations).
Storage:
At least 4GB free disk space for installation, student records, and uploaded documents.
SAS offers flexibility in deployment:
i. Local Installation (On-Premises): Installed on school’s local servers. Full data control.
ii. Cloud-Based Setup (Hosted Solution): Access via secure web portal. Easy updates & backups.
The SAS Installer provides a step-by-step wizard:
Step 1: Database Setup.
Step 2: Network Configuration (Local or Cloud).
Step 3: Admin Account Creation (Principal/System Admin credentials).
Step 4: Initial School Information (School name, address, academic session start date).
Outcome: System is ready for use immediately after setup.
⚠️ Warning: Only IT administrators or authorized personnel should perform installations.
This ensures data protection, network security, and proper access control.
Unauthorized installations may compromise student data, staff records, and system stability.
With these requirements and guided installation, schools can operate SAS securely and efficiently.
